Poor Skootch. When my pal Elvis Pussley passed away, I kept looking for him thru the screen door. He was an inside cat because he was FIV positive, so we were only friends thru the screen door. But, we used to visit every day...I would call him and he would come to the door and we would visit, and sometimes nap..each on his own side of the door.
As time passes, you will get more used to being without Lucy. It will become more "normal." But, you will still think of her.
Dear Scootch, Me feels for yous! When Hissy old Licorice went over the bridge mes was very very sad and missed him terribly. Then Mommy and Daddy came home with Kozmo. Me is still not too sure about Kozmo (after almost 2 years) but ME knows me would not be the same without him. Me thinks me LIKES to be mad! Kisses Nellie
So sad. I hope Skootch understands what happened. I've never lost a cat when I have had more than one, that is not something I am looking forward to, not one bit. Purrs for you all.
Awww! Our pets can grieve just as much in their own way! It is humbling, I think, to see how they deal with loss. xx
ReplyDeleteHugs and purrrs, sweet Skootch. It must seem very lonely right now. Wrap yourself around your mom and dad, that makes things feel better for a while.
ReplyDeleteThe whole world is upside down right now isn't it??
ReplyDeletePuuurrrss to you.
Oh, that's just ... heartbreaking. We send you much love and many purrs, dear Skootch.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to understand. Purrs to you Skootch.
