Skootch, we are so sorry to learn that you are feeling poorly, but heartened that you have eaten a teensy bit. So we send you large rumbly purrs to spur you appetite into action and help you recover quickly.
Thank you so much for your kind comments to us on the loss of our Oliver, we miss him so much.
He did eat more since then. Yesterday he ate more (I figure his stomach has shrunk a bit). I stand there and I coax him and stroke him a lot, and that seems to help. I think he was scared of throwing up again, so I watched like a hawk after he ate yesterday. I had made another appointment to go to the vet today, which I also cancelled, since I got him to eat this morning (about 1/3 of his normal amount), and also later in the day. I really don't want to take him in unless I have to, since he tends to go on hunger strikes after vet visits. He's seeming more like himself. We hydrated him yesterday but not yet today, since he's eating (maybe we'll do it tonight, just to be safe). Paws crossed.
It seems like he gets severe anxiety attacks after going to the vet. You could try Rescue Remedy for cats to see if it helps. I'm so glad he is eating and doing better! ((((((((((((((Skootch))))))))))))))
Please eat Scootch! We are worried too.
